I don't know a lot of details on them and I know it doesn't say VW on the front, but they are a pretty cool little truck. Amarok's are amazing though, I got to check one out in Australia and wish they sold them here. Too bad not enough people want them. Falsifying VIN is a sure way to end up in jail. The insurance company will be the one going after when they figure it out.
