Why panasonic tv is turning itself off

After about an hour it turns off, no picture, no sound, but solid green power light on.

If I turn it off by plug and turn back on all is fine for a while, until it turns off again. When I turn it back on, the time for it to turn off gets shorter each time, unless I leave it for an hour or so.

When it is off the remote doesnt do anything. Ive tried unplugging all inputs apart from aerial, but no amount of swearing or reasoning with tv seems to work. Any idea what problem is? It sounds like a fault that needs attention, possibly in the PSU.

Thanks for reply. I also think it is a hardware issue, but was hopeing someone had come across same issue and found that it was main board or power supply or something else. I've had the back off and can't see anything obvious. It might be a dry joint, but finding that is way beyond my skills. Worth trying a factory reset first I think. I've had a somewhat similar problem lately with my GZ It was powering off and on after an undefined period watching netflix, but a factory reset which will not reset software updates seems to have fixed it.

My Panasonic TV was working fine all of a sudden no picture just sound. Only One Channel 4. Mitsubishi WD shuts off randomly from right after turning on to even Panasonic txcxb. Have sound but no picture, can faintly make out shad Panasonic Plasma TV Troubleshooting. Panasonic viera turning on and off by itself. Took it to my workshop and blasted out with compressor and so far works just as did before. Was inch away from buying replacement. Thanks again. You do want to remove the back of your TV set and take a look at the board. Post some images of your boards with your question. Use this guide for that. It will allow us to see what you see.

Before anything else, please double check the warranty status on this set. It is really not that old and may still be covered. It will depend on what exactly has failed.

If you let us know the exact make and model of your TV and what the issues are with it, we may have a better answer for you. I have the same problem the make of the TV is TCS2 Panasonic can anyone help out on this issue I am gonna blow the fans and back of the TV to see if dust jammed the fans and that's why it's shutting itself off and wait to see if someone else has a suggestion or a fix!
